Privacy policy

Who we are
Event Runner is operated by the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University ("we"). This policy covers this website and the Event Runner console, where organizers set up their event sites. To reach us, email amditisj@montclair.edu.
Event sites
Each event site is run by its organizer, who decides what attendee information is collected and how it is used. Each site has its own privacy policy, and questions about attendee information should go to that organizer first. We host those sites and process attendee information on the organizer's behalf.
What we collect in the console
- Your name and email address, and the Google or Microsoft sign-in you choose, if any.
- Your organization's name and the team members you invite.
- Your answers about your event and its site.
- Your acceptance of the agreement: the name you typed, your verified email address, the version you accepted and when.
- If you connect a Stripe or Eventbrite account, its account ID and access token.
This website
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. GitHub, which hosts it, may log basic details of each visit, such as your IP address.
How we use it
We use this information to sign you in, build and run your site, contact you about your request, provide support, keep the service secure and keep a record of the agreement. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We use these providers to run the service: Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting, sign-in and storage, Postmark for email, Cloudflare for web addresses and GitHub for building sites. If you connect Stripe or Eventbrite, or sign in with Google or Microsoft, those companies handle information under their own policies. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Requests that are withdrawn or declined are deleted 90 days after their last update. Connected account tokens are deleted when you disconnect the account or when your request is closed or deleted, though a token already moved to your event site stays there until the site is removed. We keep records of agreement acceptance, and we keep other information for as long as your site runs or as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal information by emailing amditisj@montclair.edu. We may need to keep some records, such as your acceptance of the agreement.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
