Terms of service

Last updated November 4, 2026.

Who we are

Event Runner is operated by the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University ("we"). These terms cover this website and the Event Runner console. Your use of the service also follows our privacy policy. To reach us, email amditisj@montclair.edu.

Your agreement

Organizers who set up a site accept a separate agreement in the console. If that agreement and these terms disagree, the agreement controls. Fees are set out in your agreement or invoice.

Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what your team does in your organization and on your site. Accept the agreement only if you have the authority to bind your organization.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, infringe the rights of others, send spam, spread malware, or interfere with the service or try to reach data you are not authorized to see.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you put on your site. You give us permission to host, copy and display it as needed to run the service. You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to use it.

Tickets and payments

If you sell tickets, you do so through your own Stripe or Eventbrite account or your own process. Those companies' terms apply to those accounts. We do not process ticket payments or handle ticket refunds, and you are responsible for your own policies toward attendees.

Availability

We work to keep the service running and to help when something goes wrong, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change the service over time.

Ending service

You can stop using the service at any time, subject to your agreement. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service or others.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for lost profits, revenue or data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
